Tracking Student Profile Information

What is it?

You can set up AccuTrack to track the profile of your visitors and to generate demographics data. This information might be required by your grants, or it might be helpful in optimizing your services. With AccuTrack, you have the flexibility to define up to 10 profile questions and their possible answers. AccuTrack will display these questions to visitors during their first sign-in and will collect the answers. It will then generate demographics reports based on this information.

Here are some examples of demographics questions as used by some of AccuTrack users:

Classification: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate, Other.
College: Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, etc.
Type of student: Day, Evening.
Enrollment status: Full-time, Part-time.
Residential Status: On campus, Off campus.
Age Group: under 25 years of age, 25 or over.
Program: ARC, CoA-Connects, SSSP, HEOP.
Employment Hours: None; 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, More than 40.
Athletic Affiliation: Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Track, Other, None.
Referred by: Faculty/Staff, Student, Advisor, Brochure/Advertisement, Other.

How it works?

When a student signs in for the first time, AccuTrack displays the New User screen for collecting some data about the student. This includes student’s name, contact info, and up to 10 profile questions that you define. Actually, not only do you get to define these questions, but you can even indicate whether an answer is required.

Once the data is collected, you can query it to find out all types of information, such as the number of Freshmen that visited your centers from the College of Engineering, and so on. The query results can be displayed on the screen, printed in a report, or exported to Excel and other applications.

Reports

You can query the demographics data using Boolean conditions. You can use any combination of the available ten questions in your query. The query results can be displayed on the screen, printed in a report, or exported to Excel and other applications. In addition, you can generate an overall Demographics report that shows the number of visits and contact hours for each profile answer.

Special Features:

The Profile Query screen offers you great power and flexibility in getting the data you need.
You get to enter each profile question and its answers.
You can indicate whether the answer to each question is required or optional.
You can control the appearance of each question and its answers (e.g. font size, border, etc.)
