AccuSL Software

The AccuSL software is a powerful web-based application that works with the AccuTrack / AccuSQL database. This software makes the following functions available via the web:

Students can view, schedule and cancel appointments via the web.
Staff members (tutors or advisors) can view and cancel their own appointments via the web.
Students can view, register, or cancel seminars or workshops via the web.
New students can add themselves to the system (if allowed).

Note that AccuSL is an add-on to the AccuTrack or AccuSQL desktop software. You will still need the desktop software to setup your database (e.g. enter staff members and their schedules, set appointment rules, etc.) and generate reports. If you are looking for a fully web-based application, checkout AccuTrack's sister product - Accudemia.

The AccuSL software uses the same database used by the AccuTrack/AccuSQL software. As a result, an appointment made by either one of these applications is immediately recorded in the database and thus available for the other application (real-time updates).

Installation Requirements

To use AccuSL on a client computer (i.e. student or tutor computer), all you need is a web browser and Microsoft Silverlight. If you do not have Microsoft Silverlight, your browser will prompt you to download it.

Deploying AccuSL on your college server requires a web server running Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services) version 7. IIS 7 can run on any of the following operating systems:

Windows 7 Ultimate

Windows 7 Professional
Windows 7 Home Premium
Windows 7 Home Basic
Windows 7 Home Starter
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows Vista Business

NOTE: We only installed and tested AccuSL on IIS 7 running on Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 Professional. The installation instructions for AccuSL show screen shots on a Windows 2008 Server. Since we have not tested the installation on other operating systems, we cannot guarantee a smooth installation.

Note that you need AccuTrack version 11 or later OR AccuSQL version 11 or later to use AccuSL.

Installation

We will help you install AccuSL via a remote assistance session. All you need to do is have your web server ready with IIS 7 installed. You will also need an administration account with access rights that allow installing software. If you use AccuSQL, then you will also need access information for the Microsoft SQL Server that hosts your database.

During the remote assistance session we will transfer the needed AccuSL installation files and install AccuSL on your web server. One complimentary remote assistance session is included in the price of AccuSL. Additional installations if needed require an additional fee.

NOTE: ONE COMPLIMENTARY REMOTE ASSISTANCE SESSION FOR SETTING UP ACCUSL IS INCLUDED. IF ADDITIONAL SESSIONS ARE NEEDED (E.G. TO INSTALL ON A NEW SERVER), A SET UP FEE OF $150 PER ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION IS REQUIRED.
