AccuTrack News

We are pleased to announce the release of version 10 of AccuTrack. This major update to the software includes numerous new features and enhancements. Most of these features were requested by current users of AccuTrack.

We started with a survey that we sent out to AccuTrack users asking them what they would like to see in version 10. We also checked the AccuTrack online support forum for user's requests and needs. Other ideas came from questions and comments made by AccuTrack users during training sessions. We also added some of our own ideas for improving the software.

The programming effort for AccuTrack 10 actually started a little after the release of AccuTrack 9. Several features and enhancements were added to version 9 and released exclusively to the Platinum Plus subscribers. This enables these subscribers to get the additional enhancements quickly. It also gave them the opportunity to try these enhancements and suggest more of them! Version 10 was based on the latest version of AccuTrack 9 Platinum edition. However, we did not stop there, several months of work were spent on adding more improvements for version 10.

Considerable time and effort was spent on the development of version 10. The AccuTrack team did an excellent job, and we are proud with what their accomplishments. We believe you will be pleased as well. Contact us to take a look at the new AccuTrack 10.

NOTE: The AccuTrack Platinum Plus subscribers will receive a free upgrade to AccuTrack 10. If you have an active Platinum Plus Subscription, you will receive your free upgrade CD within 90 days.

New Support Policy: Free Phone Support!
January 1, 2008

In celebration of the release of AccuTrack 10, we are updating our phone support policy to offer AccuTrack users more value and better service! Starting with AccuTrack 10, we are offering all users of this latest version free phone support. This free phone support will be available to AccuTrack 10 users for as as long as they have the latest version of AccuTrack. This means the free phone support will only end when version 11 is released. At that time, all version 11 users will be eligible for the free phone support.

Users of AccuTrack versions older than the latest available version will not be eligible for free phone support unless they have a Priority Support Plan. This means that AccuTrack 9 or older users will not be eligible for free phone support unless they have a Priority Support plan. For free AccuTrack support, these users must use the free online support forum.

Note that active Platinum Plus subscribers will have higher priority when sending their support requests.

Also note that free phone support might be limited depending on the availability of the AccuTrack support team.

Free Orlando Training!

In celebration of the release of AccuTrack 10, we are offering all users with an active Platinum Plus subscription free Orlando Training Classes. Up to two persons from each institution will be able to register without paying a registration fee. This offer can save the institution up to $1,180 in registration fee at each training session! Here are the details:

The registration fees for up to two persons from the same institution will be waived.
This offer only applies to users who will be covered by an active Platinum Plus subscription at the time of registration and training.
Attendees will be responsible for all other expenses such as travel expenses, lodging, and transportation. Attendees will also need to bring their own laptop preloaded with AccuTrack for the training session.
Seating space available for each session will be assigned on first-come, first-served basis. Once the seating capacity is reached, registration for the session will close.

AccuTrack 10 Upgrade Discounts

As mentioned above, AccuTrack users with an active Platinum Plus subscription will get a complementary upgrade to version 10. If you do not have an active Platinum Plus subscription, a fee is required to upgrade to version 10. However, as a valued AccuTrack user, you will receive a considerable discount when you upgrade to version 10. The discount can be applied towards any AccuTrack 10 license of equal or higher value to your current license. The discount amount depends on the version of AccuTrack licensed and the type of license owned. See AccuTrack 10 price sheet for exact discount amount.

NOTE: If you ordered AccuTrack 9 on or after September 1st, 2007, you are eligible for 100% credit of your AccuTrack 9 licensing fees to be used towards an equal or higher value license of AccuTrack 10. For example, if you ordered AccuTrack 9 Single Center, Single Location license after September 1, 2007, your full license fee of $ 2,595 can be used towards your AccuTrack 10 license upgrade. NOTE: This special 100% credit offer is only valid if you upgrade to version 10 by April 1st, 2008.

ID Readers Discounts

In celebration of AccuTrack 10 we are also lowering the prices of the ID readers. Clients who use ID readers report quicker and more accurate sign-ins and sign-outs. You can order an ID reader with your AccuTrack 10 software for as little as $89 (Magnetic Stripe, keyboard wedge). Even lower prices are available with quantity discounts!

SUNSET ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OLDER ACCUTRACK VERSIONS
January 1st, 2008

A few weeks ago we made an announcement regarding support for older versions of AccuTrack Deluxe. With the release of AccuTrack 10 , the Sunset Policy is now in effect. Here is what this policy means to you:

1. Upgrade releases (releases with new features or enhancements to existing features) of AccuTrack will only be offered for the latest shipping version of the software. This means we will only be releasing upgrades to AccuTrack version 10.

2. Maintenance releases (releases with fixes to bugs in the software) will be mainly offered for the latest version (AccuTrack 10). A maintenance release for the last version (AccuTrack 9) might be offered if the development team deems this necessary. There will be no new releases (maintenance or otherwise) for AccuTrack versions older than version 9.

3. Phone and direct email support will only be offered for the latest version of AccuTrack. With the release of AccuTrack 10, we now only offer phone and direct email support for AccuTrack 10 users. Exception: Users covered under a Priority Support Plan (e.g. an active Platinum Plus subscription) will still be offered phone and direct email support for older versions. Note that users with an active Platinum Plus subscription are also eligible for a free upgrade to version 10.

4. Support via the online Support Forum will be continue to be offered to all AccuTrack users and for any AccuTrack version, including older versions. However, this support is limited to answering questions on the forum. No updates or upgrades will be provided for the older versions. Also no developer work will be offered for users of older versions (e.g. opening database files with development tools, investigating issues, manual database repair, database changes, etc.).

In summary, if you still have AccuTrack Deluxe version 5, 6, 7, or 8, it is important that you upgrade it to AccuTrack 10 as you will no longer receive new releases or development supports for these older versions.

Version 2 of AccuTesting

We are happy to see AccuTrack adopted not only in almost all the US states but also abroad. Recently we had orders from Canada, the United Kingdom, and also Puerto Rico. New AccuTrack Plug-in for Computer Labs

We are pleased to announce the release of a new plug-in for AccuTrack Deluxe. This plug-in offers the following benefits:

Track usage of your computers.
Limit usage to registered students.
Allow students to sign in to AccuTrack from their work computer.
And more!

The plug-in is special software that runs on each computer in your lab or tutoring center. To use the computer, the student must sign in by entering his or her ID number and selecting an activity. If the log-in is valid, AccuTrack will minimize to allow the student to use the computer as usual. When finished, the student can click on a floating "Log Out" button. This will restore AccuTrack for the next user.

Version 2.0 AccuTrack WebLink Now Shipping

AccuTrack WebLink is an optional add-on to AccuTrack version 7.0 that allows students to schedule and cancel appointments remotely via a web browser. It also allows students and staff members to view their upcoming appointments from the convenience of their homes or any other place with a web browser.
