Tutors unable to sign in

In version 9.1.5 (in another tutoring center on campus), tutors are unable to sign in. They log on and get a tutor pad, but upon clicking the Staff button, they get the message "There is no tutor instructor available." We wonder if this is the result of some kind of customization by a former administrator, but we are unable to figure out where it might be or how to undo it.

That sounds like a strange message. My guess is that they changed the default terminology from "activity" to "instructor". Check the Options screen -> General Page -> Terminology button to verify.

If the above is correct, the error message is ""There is no tutor *activity* available." This means tutors are required to select a tutor activity when they sign in (to avoid confusing this with student activity, we renamed 'tutor activity' to 'tutor task' in AccuTrack version 10). However, no tutor activities were entered, thus the tutor is unable to sign in.


The fix is rather simple: Go to Setup -> Tutors -> Activities and enter some activities there (e.g. scheduled work, tutoring, make up time, meeting, etc).

You were right. Terminology was changed, tasks were required, and no tasks were entered. Muchas gracias Mon :smile:
