Instant Messenger isn't working

Instant Messenger was working with AccuTrack at one point. Suddenly, it doesn't send a message to advisors when a student is assign to an advisor by the receptionist.

Normally, when a student is assign to an advisor, it would send an instant message to the advisor with the student's name on it. Therefore, it notifys the advisor that a student is waiting in the lobby.

Do you know what could cause this to happen?

I remember there was a problem with instant messaging in an older version of the software, so first make sure that you are running the latest version. The NEWS board on this online forum lists the latest versions.

If you have the latest version, make sure that it is set up to send MSN messages. The settings are configured via the Options screen.

Finally, make sure that MSN is running and working on the computer where the sign-ins are taking place. You can verify by sending and MSN via that computer.

If all the above checks out, then further investigation is needed. If you have a support subscription you can call our support line for an online assistance session.
