Version 8.0.92 Every time we try to export the Report: "Tutor Sessions" to Excel Direct, we get Error 1429: OLE IDispatch exception code O from Microsoft OLE DB Provider for visual Fox Pro: Command contains unrecognised phrase/keyword.
Then we can't cancel or ignor, and we get booted out of Accutrack and have to run repair. :(

You've downloaded it but are you sure you're using it? Check caption of forms. Does it say 8.1.31? You might have turned off automatic updates and thus despite downloading, you might be still using old version. Please check that.

Yes, the caption at the top of Accutrack software-when we go into Accutrack as an administrator says AccuTrack Deluxe V8.1.31

As a work-around, you can save the export as an Excel file and then open this file using Excel instead of using the "Excel Direct"option.

[v 8.1.3.0]
I'm having these same problems with the direct export. Because I need the information contained in the Comments field (see my posts of June 8) the workaround suggested doesn't help.

I'll keep an eye on this thread to see what other advice y'all may have....

We've been having this same problem with every version for the past year.
Would really like to see it corrected. Thanks.

I couldn't reproduce it for a single time yet.
When it occurs if you go to accutrack application folder you should see a new file created with a name:

_XXXXXXXXX.DBF

where X represents a digit or a letter. Example:

_1KK14KHW9.DBF

Do you see it created?
If one of you can reproduce it (select cancel) and send error files to me I'd appreciate it.
To send the error file you can use 'Help center\Send error files' from 'System Administration' screen. It would be much better if you could also email the generated file to me.
Thanks in advance.

We've sent the error files in accutrack. However, when we tried to sent them personally to you using "my conrols/ control panel" option, we failed. There's no attachment option. In addition, your email is "private", which further stops us for sending the files to you.

Thanks for all of your help so far. I got a bunch of files and with the help of those files found what the problem was.
Problem was in resolving the path to temporary _XXXXXXXXX.dbf when application folder path has a space in it. This is a newbie programmer's pitfall and I am very ashamed I failed to take care of such a basic thing! Funny on newsgroups I suggest the way it should be to fellow programmers and I didn't do that myself.
Anyways here is a temporary solution for you till you get a new maintance update:
1) Create a new folder which doesn't have any spaces in its name. ie:
c:\myAccu
2) Copy all files from your current AccuTrack folder (application folder, not data) into this new folder (current location is likely to have a space in name. ie: c:\program files\Accu80).
3) Drag&drop acutrack.exe from new folder onto desktop with right mouse button and select "Create shortcut here"
4) Use new shortcut to launch the application.

I'm very sorry for this headache.
PS: You can delete the .DBF files starting with an underscore in application folder.
