Recently while trying to install AccuTrack 2014 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine I encountered the following error:
Error 1935: An error occurred during the installation of assembly

After researching this is a common Microsoft issue if the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package is not installed.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)

This should be part of your normal Windows updates included in this update package for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64-based Systems

As well repairing the Microsoft Windows .NET framework can resolve system-related issues that prevent AccuTrack from installing successfully.

Make sure you follow every step to properly repair the .NET framework.

NOTE: First, make sure your version of Windows is up-to-date by:

Windows Update is a Microsoft service that scans your system to identify, download, and install updates for Windows as well as other components required by AccuTrack, such as the .NET Framework and Windows Installer.

Using Windows Update helps ensure that your system is up-to-date with the latest security and performance enhancements, and is a recommended troubleshooting step if you're having problems installing AccuTrack for Windows.

To access Windows Update, follow the instructions below or visit windowsupdate.microsoft.com in Internet Explorer 5 or higher.

Windows 7 and Vista
  1. Click Start > All Programs > Windows Update.
  2. Click the Check for Updates button.
  3. Click the Install Updates button.

You may need to repeat these steps until all available updates are installed.

Windows XP
  1. Click Start > All Programs > Windows Update. If prompted, allow the Windows Update Web Control to install.
  2. Click the Express button.
  3. Click the Install Updates button.

You may need to repeat these steps until all available updates are installed.

Microsoft has released a .NET Repair Tool that addresses many .NET issues that can occur. We suggest trying that first. You can download and run it from this link.

Windows 7, 8, or Vista:

  1. After verifying or updating Windows, click the Start button on the Windows taskbar and type "cmd.exe" in the Search window (In Windows 8, type it in from the Metro UI to search).
  2. Right-click cmd.exe and select Run as administrator. If prompted, click Continue or Yes in the User Account Control window.
  3. In the black Command Prompt window, type SFC /SCANNOW (include a space after SFC) and press Enter.
  4. Wait for the scan to complete. This may take some time, depending on the speed of your computer system.
  5. After the scan completes, restart your computer.

Windows XP:

  1. After verifying or updating Windows, click the Start button on the Windows taskbar and choose All ProgramsAccessories
  2. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as…. Select The following user, then enter the username or select it from the drop-down list. After entering your password, click OK.
  3. In the black Command Prompt window, type SFC /SCANNOW (include a space after SFC) and press Enter.
  4. Wait for the scan to complete. This may take some time, depending on the speed of your computer system.
  5. After the scan completes, restart your computer.
  6. When your computer has restarted, Click Start, then Control Panel, on the Windows taskbar.
  7. Select Add or Remove Programs.
  8. In the list, select the version of Microsoft .NET to be repaired (e.g., Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5), and then click the Change/Remove button.
  9. On the Maintenance Mode screen, select Repair, and the follow the on-screen instructions.
