I am performing an Accutrack 10.5.7 install on a Windows 7 PC that has Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 installed on it. The corresponding SQL native client (64 bit) was part of this package. When I attempt to establish the database connection information and then run Test Connection I get the following popup error message:

Microsoft Visual FoxPro
Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.
OK

I created a test.udl file to verify that there is not a problem establishing a connection to the SQL server from the PC. This test was successful. So now I am wondering if there is an issue with the native client currently installed and Accutrack 10.5.7?

Note that htis exercise is a result of a PC replacement. The other PC had SQL Server 2008 (64-bit) and the associated SQL Server 2008 Native Client. So the only thing that has changed between the two systems is the upgrade to the SQL Server 2008 R2 package.

Thanks,

Joe Jirka

Re-reading your post, I noticed you mentioned your version is "10.5.7". Did you mean "10.5.17"? The latest update to AccuSQL 10 is version 10.5.17, which was released on August 23, 2011. If you have an older version, please make sure that you upgrade to the latest version first. The older version might be the reason for the error you are encountering.
