Good morning!

I am trying to install AccuSL on our server. I believe I have read and followed the directions, but am still getting the error:

https://docs.google....1VGcGM5blE/edit

Server environment:
  • Windows 2008 R2 server, 64-bit
  • IIS 7 installed, with additional role services: ASP.NET, Basic and Windows Authentication
  • .NET 4 already installed
  • AccuTrack v11.0.6 running with MSSQL backend
I copied the AccuSL folder to the C:\ drive

I created a new Application Pool called "ASP.NET v4.0" configured with:

https://docs.google....zNkcGlsRlE/edit

Then I set the website basic settings:

https://docs.google....1c2T0wzSzA/edit

I had to "Connect As" a specific user, otherwise I got the related error if I didn't. (In documentation.)

Then I went into AccuSQL as admin to make sure I had the database settings correct:

https://docs.google....VR1LXdXSGs/edit

Anywhere I could test connection settings, I did, and they all came back OK. So I am at a standstill. Any help would be welcome!!

thanks!
Michelle (for Rikki)

We will take a look at this Michelle. It may require us to host a gotomeeting to examine your setup, IIS settings, etc. I'll let you know.

Hi Michelle,

It looks good. All I see in the C:\AccuSL\ClientBin folder, did you run SetDataLocation.exe? Here is where you would tell AccuSL where the db is it should use. This is different from the AccuSQL db location.

By the way, press New to pick the db (SQL mode), then you would save in that window, and also save in the main window...

This is a rare situation that might be hard to debug. The first message is generated even before AccuSL's own code is executed and seems to me caused by problems in basic IIS/.NET setup rather than AccuSL (we didn't include how to setup IIS and .NET in our documentation because this is a large topic that is already well covered in documents from Microsoft).

One reason this happens on R2 servers is the order of installation of IIS and .NET 4. IIS may not be yet aware of the .NET framework's existence. You need to run aspnet_regiis to register the framework with IIS. Running it may not be straightforward on all systems because of the existing other sites in production. My suggestion is to set up an online meeting with us so we can install it together.

PS: You didn't leavecontact information and support is trying to find your contact Information to call you. Would you email to support@accutrack.org please? Thanks.

Sorry everyone - I went on vacation right after this and have only now gotten back to this. I've since updated to v12 AccuSQL.

cbasoz - I ran aspnet_regiis -lv and got three replies:

2.0.50727.0 C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll
4.0.30319.0 C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll
4.0.30319.0 C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll

So yes, I will email support@accutrack.org and we'll go from there. BTW, this is the only website in production on this server. Thanks all!

michelle,

one thing i learned when installing AccuSL is that it has to be in the root web folder of the server. It can't be anywhere else -- so you can't just point to. Whatever your root folder is that is where the clientbin folder must live.
