Accutrack version 10 was installed on 3 computers running Windows 7 (32 bit) and worked fine, with the database on a server. The program was then added to a Dell running XP with SP3.

As soon as data was entered through this terminal the other computers then came up with the following sequence on errors on starting.

Error #1435
Error #13
Error #1734

This was then followed by 'Attempting to upgrade files to latest version'.

The program appears to upgrade the files, reporting that it was successful, but the same sequence of errors follows the next time the program is opened.

Disconnecting the terminal with XP has no effect on the error messages, but the messages did not appear before the XP terminal was used.

Probably when you installed the software on the XP computer, it did an update check and downloaded the latest version. When an update is downloaded, the update files are copied to a shared folder, and all other computers connected to the database will then load this update on their next launch.

From your error messages, it seems that the Windows 7 computer are trying to update themselves, but Windows 7 is not allowing them to copy over the update files to the installation folder. To solve this problem, you can manually copy the update files to each computer. Here is how:

1) Locate the Updates files. These will be saved in a folder called UPDATES in a shared data path folder on the server. An easy way to find it is to go to System Administration->Database->Database Location and view the "Shared Data Path" on the screen. The updates folder would be <Shared Data Path>\Updates.

2) Open this folder in Windows Explorer and look for the UPDATES folder. Open this folder and COPY the files in it.

3) Paste the copied files into the installation folder of each of your Windows 7 AccuTrack installation folder (should be something like C:\Program Files\Accu10SQL). Make sure to over-write the existing files.

Let us know if this helps.
