I was in the process of upgrading from Accutrack 12 to 14. Everything was going well enough until it came time to update the db. Apparently, I did not have exclusive access to the db. So the upgrade process threw an error.

After disconnecting users, I was unable to get back into Accutrack 14. The default credentials are no longer seen as valid.

I have tried using System Restore, as well as just un-installing and re-installing Accutrack 14.

The program will launch, but without the buttons “Appointments”, “Seminar Sign up”, “Messaging Center”, ”Who’s in”, and “Media Checkouts” buttons.

However, the program will not recognize the default credentials as valid.

As such, even though exclusive access to the db had been secured, the program would not progress to that stage.

What should we try next for that machine?

This can happen if there is a hook to the database that has not been released. Sometimes copying the AccuData database locally and then running the update against that database works. If that does not work, contact us at support@accutrack.org
