Hi!
I'm not sure when this problem first began. I just recently became aware of it. When Accutrack begins to load we have started to get a series of Program Error messages.

The first states - API library is not found
then:
- file 'desktopwindows2array.prg' does not exist
- Property ARRDESKTOP is not found
- Variable 'NHWND' is not found
and then finally - Nesting error

Otherwise Accutrack loads and runs as usual, so these aren't critical errors that prevent the use of the program. But they do get annoying. Any suggestion as to how I can fix this error. I think it has to be some sort of a database error because it is consistent at all our stations that run Accutrack regardless of whether the software has been reinstalled or not.

Thanks,

-Dan

Strange! We need the full error message for troubleshooting. Usually the first error message is the most significant as the rest are caused by the domino effect of the first error.

Also we need your full version number.

Unfortunately the error message doesn't provide us with much information... here is a link to screenshot of it. Our version number is 10.0.3 (linker V09.00.0000.3504)

Not super helpful, eh? Wish I had an error # to give you, or something.

To further complicate things, last night I copied the database I thought was problematic onto a laptop that had Accutrack on it. I was assuming I would get the same error message when I tried it there. I didn't. This is leading me to think it has something to do with the fact that the database here in the writing center is on a shared drive? But this is a relatively new error message and we have had the database on our shared drive for some time now...

...so I guess the bottom line is I'm not sure whats going  :)

Yes; that error message is not too helpful.

Sounds like it's missing some file. This file is not missing on your other computer, thus you don't get the error there.

If you need us to troubleshoot this further, call David, our support specialist, on Friday for an online assistance session. David is currently out of the office but he should be back on Friday mornining.

Hi,

I am getting the same error with one of the 3 centers we run. This happened right after I upgraded to 10.0.3 As soon as you open the program to run it, they appear. Everything is the same as Dan's issue. I have only checked this on my pc. I am going to check the 6 other pcs that run AccuTrack and see what if anything is happening there. (There are 2 pcs in each center; the center admin's pc and the one we have set up for sign ins.)

I'll be keeping an eye on this post to see what the resolution is.

Hi,
There is a new file that should have been copied to AccuTrack application folder. I don't know why it failed to copy in yours, might be due to some changed rights on accutrack folder. You may find the file in Updates folder ( under Accutrack Data folder's parent folder) and copy manually. Alternatively you can get it here:

http://www.accutrack...AppLauncher.fll

PS: This file is not used directy by AccuTrack itself ( it would launch and continue to work normally ). AccuTR, accutrack automated task runner component uses it ( auto emails, ... ).

Copy Applauncher.fll to AccuTrack application folder ( where Acutrack.exe is ).

Hi Cetin,

I looked in the UPDATES folder and found APPLAUNCHER.FLL for the center I am having problems with. I looked at the folders for the 2 centers I am not having problems with and APPLAUNCHER.FLL is in the UPDATES folder for them as well (each center has it's own setup). I then looked for ACUTRACK.EXE to copy APPLAUNCHER.FLL to the same folder. The only place I see ACUTRACK.EXE is in the UPDATES folder and that is for all 3 centers. Now I am really confused!

I am off to update the other 6 pcs on campus and I'll see what happens after that.

APPLAUNCHER.FLL is in the updates folder on the server. Is it supposed to be on the workstation? Is that the part I am missing? I have updated 4 pcs now and 3 of them are getting the error.

Thanks,

Yes! AppLauncher.fll should be copied to your AccuTrack application folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Accu10).
