Some of you asked about how to best transition from one term to the next. Here are some tips:

1) Back up your data files. You can manually create a backup by
simply making a copy of your AccuTesting data folder (e.g. AccuTestingData).
Rename the backup folder to something like "Fall2005". This way if you ever need to check the data of the previous semester you can simply point your AccuTesting software to the Fall2005 Folder and run your reports for that period.

2) Once your data is backed up, you have 3 choices:
a. Delete all data: You can use the Database-Delete function to
all data all data in AccuTesting. This will be the same as starting over with a blank database.
b. Delete some of the data: You can use the Database-Delete
function to delete some of your tables (e.g. students) but keep others (e.g. media Instructors).
c. Continue with the data without deleting any of it: Since
AccuTesting reports on the selected time period, you can filter your future reports using the new semester dates, so it would not matter if you have previous semester data in the system.

3) Import your new semester data via the Import Wizard. You can
import students, staff, and instructors.

4) Update any other data as needed (e.g. instructors, staff,
etc).

5) Make sure you have the latest version of your AccuTesting software
(currently 1.1.1).

6) This might be a good time to change your admin password. Just
make sure you note down the new password.
