Hi,
I have four standalone computers that are used for AccuTrack, each workstation has its own AccuData folder. We are currently on AccuTrack 6 right now.
Here are my questions:
1. Can we merge the data in the four AccuData folder by using import/export functions?
2. we are on AccuTrack 6 now, and are planning to upgrade AccuTrack 7, will it be easy to do the merge using AccuTrack 6 or AccuTrack 7?
3. For the upgrade from AccuTrack 6 to AccuTrack 7, it was said in the manual that it is better to run Repair utility on the data before the upgrade and that we could request the utility from AccuTrack. Would you please send me a copy of Repair utility so that I could repair the AccuTrack 6 data and then upgrade to AccuTrack 7?
4. As for the usage of AccuTrack 7, if we put the AccuData folder in the network, the student should be able to to log in from one computer and log out from another computer? right?
Thanks.

1) Sorry there is no 'merge' function in AccuTrack. However, you can export the data out to other applications such as Excel and do your merge there.
2) I recommend upgrading to version 8 since this is our latest shipping version. Version 8 will take your AccuTrack 6 data files and will convert them to version 8 format, so you will be able to continue with the same data. Note that there is no 'merge' utility in version 8.
3) Yes, do a search on this forum for "fixData" or "repair utility" and you will find the link. To search click on the magnifier glass icon at the right top corner of the screen.
4) Yes if both computers use the same database students can sign in from one and sign out from the other. Just make sure your licensing allows multiple sign-in stations. If you have a 'campus-wide' license then you can have unlimited installations.

HI,
How much does it cost if we send you the four databases that we want to merge and you do it for us? How is the cost for merging three databases or two databases? How long will it take?
Thanks.

When do you need this done?
Merging the records involves resolving each record (e.g. student names, tutor names, activities), merging duplicates (and their child records), and adding new records. For 4 databases I estimate it would take 2-4 days.

Hi,
Would you please tell me the specific cost for it too? We want to know the price before we decide to merge the databases or not.
Thank you!
