When I launch AccuTrack v9.02, I get a message box that says, "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive." It give me buttons to Cancel, Try Again, and Continue.
When I click on Cancel or Continue, the software loads. When I click on Try Again it pops the message back up. There doesn't seem to be any impact on the performance of the software, but the message is annoying and might be confusing to new users.
Any idea what is happening? Is there a fix?

Can you try this on that same computer:
1. Using Windows Explorer, browse to C:\Program Files\Accu90
2. Look for the 'acutrack.exe' file and double click on it to launch.
Do you still get the same error?

Mon,
I double-clicked the acutrack.exe file and did NOT get the error. That's good news, I suppose. What does it mean? :)

It might be something related to InstallShield (the application distribution product) and the way it creates shortcuts. Try to create the shortcut to the acutrack.exe file manually (right click on it, select create shortcut, and then move the shortcut to the desktop), and test this shortcut to see if that fixes it. Let us know what you find out.

Mon,
I created a new shortcut, but that gave me the same message when I used it to start the program.
Let me know what you want me to try next.

I installed the software on my laptop using CD-ROM drive. I launch Accu9 several times on this laptop and did not get that error. However, a few weeks ago I was at a client site and we installed the software on their server using a CD ROM drive attached to a server cluster. The error did occor on that server after removing installation CD (at that time I thought it was related to their setup and did not check it closely).
At this time I am not sure what conditions make this error occur. I did a web search on the error and read posts suggesting it occurs if the mapping of the drives changes (e.g. your C drive is not your root drive as usual).
One suggestion is that you can try installing the software from a network drive instead of a CD drive (by copying the installation CD to a shared drive and installing from there).
If you find more about this error please post back.
