An Interview with an AccuTrack User

The following is an interview with Brian S. Thomas from the University College Learning Center at IUPUI.

Q: How are you using AccuTrack?

We are using AccuTrack to track the attendance at our mentoring sessions, make appointments for our one tutoring class, check out books to our staff, and have keep track of how many hours our staff works.

Q: What activities are you tracking?

We are tracking all of our mentoring sessions. We have mentors that hold mentoring session's everyday. We have the students swipe into the session so we can keep track of how many students came to the session.

Q: Do you do appointments, walk-ins, or both?

We do both appointments and walk-ins. We only do appointments for one of our subjects and the other nine of them we do walk-ins. The appointments are one-on-one so multiple students cannot schedule one time slot.

Q: What other features of the software are you putting to use?

We use the staff check-in and check-out to keep track of our staff work hours. We also use the media check-out to check-out books to our mentors.

Q: What reports are most useful?

The most useful report for us would be the weekly attendance/weekly visits reports. We track the session attendance through these reports weekly to see if we need to make a change to the session time.

Q: What do you do with the reports / information you get from AccuTrack?

We use the reports to track the session attendance. We also use the reports to include in our Annual Report that goes out in June. We put about 10 of the AccuTrack reports in the Annual Report. We also keep track of how many hours our staff works.

Q: Any other tips for using the software in a learning center.

The AccuTrack team has been very friendly and willing to work with us. They are willing to try new things and open to new ideas. They are very easy to work with and always respond quickly. We have been very pleased with the program and use it everyday. We have also been very please with the kindness of the staff (sales managers, support team, and programmers).
